The Diocesan Synod is the supreme governing body in the diocese.
It is responsible for making a Constitution for the Governance and administration of a Diocese that is formally approved by the Provincial assembly.
It also provides overall direction of the Diocese and it formulates broad, basic principles for the Diocese.
The Diocesan Synod under the leadership of the Bishop comprises, The Bishop(s) holding office in the Diocese and adequate representation of the Clergy and Laity within the Diocese.
The Diocesan Synod has put in place; The Diocesan Council, Diocesan Boards and Committees to carry out its work on its behalf.
