Economic Development Projects

Bisop Wilberfoce Kityo Luwalira has led the Diocese in commercial profitable farming of coffee for income generation and productive use of Church land which is utilized.

The projects are found in Namayumba and Masuliita Parishes. 9 acres of coffee plantation at Sempya, 10 acres in Masulita and 6 acres at Luwami still in Masulita Parish.

Agriculture is the backbone of our economy & if employs majority of the population thus a worthy investment. According to the Bishop through commercial farming, the Diocese can contribute to the government ‘s effort of fighting poverty & unemployment especially the young people.

The other 40 acres of land are in Kkungu Parish have been identified for fruit tree planting.10 acres of have been allocated to the youth department to interest, encourage & empower youth in profitable farming.

The coffe planting project have been supported by Buganda Kingdom through BUCADEF which donated over 10,000 coffee seddlings. stanbic bank donated fruit trees , and individual Christians continue to support financially.
