The Mothers Union of Namirembe Diocese has hosted the world wide president of mothers union in a colorful thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral Namirembe.
The Archbishop of the province of the church of Uganda welcomed the world wide president of mothers union to the pearl of Africa.
Archbishop’s sermon focused on Ephesians 5:22
“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything”. He told the mothers union members that families are called to serve God and the community.
He reminded the congregation that the provincial assembly resolved that next year 2019 will be the year of the children.
The Chief Guest Mrs. Lynne Tombey thanked the mothers union executive for inviting her to come to Uganda as mothers union celebrates its impact in the world. She told the mothers union members always to keep their hands in the hands of the Lord and to always trust and obey.
The service was attended by Bishop Luwalira, Bishop Haningtone Mutebi, Clergies from different Dioceses, mothers union members from different Dioceses etc.
