Uganda Martyrs’ Seminary Namugongo (UMS) is a Seminary of the Province Of Anglican Church Of Uganda. UMS was founded by Namirembe Diocese on the Namugongo Martyrdom site in memory of the 25 Christian martyrs killed on the 3rd June 1886 for rejecting to recant their faith in Jesus Christ as well as to mark the centenary of Anglican Church in Uganda which was due in 1977.
On 21st September 2018 Bishop Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira presided over the first graduation ceremony of Uganda Martyrs Seminary-Namugongo
Bishop urged the graduated students to work hard in their studies and look at the future with hope. He added that they have to appreciate what God has done for you and appreciate the facilities which the seminary has put in place by making good use of them. He told them to go in the world and live a life of substance.
The chief guest on the graduation and thanksgiving ceremony General Katumba Wamala urged graduates to have positive attitude which will determine their future. He added that graduated people have to lead other people by showing them a first step of making a difference.
