MENGO ARCHDEACONRY GETS NEW ARCHDEACON

INDUCTION OF VEN. CANON ISAAC MEMBE KIJJAMBU AS THE ARCHDEACON OF MENGO ARCHDEACONRY.

On 21st March 2021 thousands of Christians from Namirembe Diocese and beyond attended the Induction ceremony of Ven. Canon Isaac Membe Kijjambu as the new Archdeacon of Mengo Archdeaconry in a colorful service led by Bishop Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira at St. Luke Kibuye Church of Uganda.

The Bishop told the new installed Archdeacon that the Lord who has called him to serve as the Archdeacon of Mengo will enable him to full fill his mission and vision. He added that this calling has come amidst a lot of challenges in the Nation but he reminded him to do his best and leave the rest to God by using the skills God has given him.

The newly inducted Archdeacon Ven. Canon Isaac Membe Kijjambu  thanked Lord who has called him to the new opportunity to work as the Archdeacon of Mengo Archdeaconry.

He thanked Bishop Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira for choosing him to serve as a Canon of St. Paul’s Cathedral Namirembe and for choosing him to be the Archdeacon of Mengo Archdeaconry. He also thanked the past Archdeacons who served in Mengo Archdeaconry for the developments, which they realized during their time of service.

The new Archdeacon has pledged to use all means to spread the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He added that he will work tirelessly to see development of the children and youth works in the Church.

“Being sent to make disciples of all nations” (Mathew 28:19).

The second deputy Katiikiro  of Buganda Owek. Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa who represented the Katikiiro of Buganda has pledged on behalf of Buganda Kingdom that Buganda government will work hand in hand for the development of the Archdeacon.

In the same way Owek. Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa thank Canon Isaac Membe Kijjambu for his transparency service as the Diocesan treasurer.

Ven. Canon Isaac Membe Kijjambu was the Archdeacon of Luzira Archdeaconry and is replacing Ven. Canon John Gitta Kavuma who is now the Archdeacon of Entebbe Archdeaconry.
