NAMIREMBE RETIRES SIX CLERGY.

NAMIREMBE RETIRES SIX CLERGY.

According to the constitution of the Church of Uganda, when a clergy reaches sixty five (65) years, he/or she is required to retire from active ministry. This year six senior clergy are set to retire at the end of this year after serving God in realising the mandate of reaching to all nations in the world preaching the salvation gospel.
The Diocesan Synod which sat on 27th October 2020 from Bishop Dunstan Nsubuga Hall presided over by the Rt. Rev. Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira- Bishop of Namirembe bid fare well to six clergy who have offered outstanding service to God. The synod appreciated their work and gave each a certificate of appreciation and in the same way recognising their contribution towards the development of God’s Church.
The clergy included, Rev. Canon Benon Kityo- Dean St. Paul’s Cathedral Namirembe, Rev. Canon Nelson Kaweesa- Diocesan Secretary, Rev. David Kibirango Kiwummulo- Parish Priest of St. Francis Basirikka Kyaliwanjala, Rev. Erisa Luninze Mayanja- Parish Priest of Kasubi, Rev. Valentino Okello from Luzira Archdeaconry and Rev. Paul Muwanguzi Sentamu.
To God be the glory for the great things He has used them to do in His Church. Wish you a fruitful retirement.
